Okay, can we please admit that some of the Disney princesses kind of suck? I mean, Snow White literally got taken down by an apple, while Mulan saved China! That’s a huge difference!
We definitely love them all, but some of them are just much more exciting and interesting than others.
#19. Snow White
I’m sorry, but Snow White is useless.
I have literally never seen a more evil-looking witch than the one that gave Snow White that apple, but she was like, “This apple is probably chill and definitely not poisoned.” Girl, no.
Aurora pricks her finger on the most suspicious-looking spinning wheel in the world and then falls asleep for all the action.
She’s pretty much the same as Snow White, but her songs are better and there’s a dragon in her movie.
Okay, I can sympathize with Cinderella a little bit more because her life is very terrible.
However, she’s such a pushover! She’s smart and resourceful, but she never stands up for herself or does anything interesting. She basically just does whatever the plot needs her to do.
I get that Ariel is supposed to be adventurous and free-spirited, but does she have to be so spoiled? It’s just hard to like a girl that hardly ever thinks of others.
Also, her whole adventure is based around her pining for some dude she’s never spoken to, and that’s just lame.
#15. Elena of Avalor
Elena of Avalor is Disney’s first Latin-American princess and she deserves some recognition.
My girl is just sixteen and she’s already saved her kingdom from an evil witch. She also hangs out with three flying jaguars.
I love Merida for her uncompromising spirit and grit, but she still turned her mom into a freakin’ bear. That’s kind of mean!
But hey, at least she’s not obsessed with boys and breaks the typical princess mold.
It’s hard not to love Belle. I mean, who doesn’t love curling up with a good book?
She can be a little bit stuck-up and judgmental, but she’s also incredibly brave and compassionate.
It’s impossible not to love Meg, because she is literally a messy bish who lives for the drama.
She’s basically that one friend who would throw you a killer bachelorette party, but you wouldn’t make them your emergency contact.
Okay, calm down. I know that Nala is a lion. I just don’t care.
Nala is spirited, fearless, and if it wasn’t for her Simba probably would have spent the rest of his life eating bugs in the jungle. Basically, she lowkey runsThe Lion King.
Jane’s got a bomb career and an incredible style game. I mean, no one rocks a petticoat quite like my girl Jane.
She loves animals and is down for adventure. She’s basically everything you want to see in someones Tinder bio.
Jasmine is the reigning princess of sass, so obviously we love her. She knows her own worth and demands nothing less. Aladdin certainly saves her, but she saves him right back.
Oh, and she hangs out with a tiger.
Elsa has got literal superpowers, so she’s obviously one of our favorite princesses.
Elsa is fiercely independent and cares deeply about other people. She’s also got interior design skills for days!
Pocahontas is brave, loyal, and smart. She doesn’t back down from a fight and isn’t afraid to take risks for the people she loves.
Honestly, her biggest flaw is that she deserves a lot better than John Smith. That dude sucks.
I’m ranking Rapunzel so high on this list because she doesn’t really do anything for love. Her journey is all about self-discovery, and Flynn was just along for the ride.
She’s also incredibly kind to every person she encounters and is super funny.
How can you not love Anna? She’s super relatable, outspoken, and will stop at nothing for her friends and family.
She proves that princesses don’t have to be perfect — they can be goofy and weird, too.
I love a reckless princess, and Moana is certainly a woman of action. I mean, she literally stares down an angry god and doesn’t immediately faint, like I would have.
She’s bold, heroic, and super smart, but I’d stan her for her sailing skills alone.
Tiana is the Disney princess we should all aspire to be like. She is by far the hardest-working princess to date, but that doesn’t make her any less kind, funny, or brave.
She follows her own dreams, and she doesn’t rely on anyone but herself.
Kida is highly underrated, and I will not stand for it.
She is the definition of a warrior princess, and I love that she never second-guesses herself. She’s also a master linguist, natural leader, and she invented the white hair trend.
Mulan literally saved China. Of course she’s number one. She’s fierce, uncompromising, and the princess we all deserve.
Of course, everyone is entitled to their own opinion regarding the Disney princesses.
We all grew up loving one more than the others, for one reason or another.
